| The larger the prey species the more lions will take part in hunt. Lionesses get 80% of kills. A lioness who is pregnant or has young (as above) will live seperate from the pride and go for smaller kills like the Water Buck above. Lions can run up to 60kmph but have little stamina so usually do not chase. Success rate is 1:5 |
